FCAT advocates for your rights in these matters. All of these actions are designed to reduce stress as individuals and family face the end of life. | | How does FCAT achieve its purposes? | FCAT provides a kit to members. It includes advance health care directives for North Carolina, an informative members manual, and various other forms and materials to assist members in their planning. FCAT presents programs on these subjects to religious and other organizations that want to inform their members on these matters | | Does FCAT have a web site? | Yes! It is: www.fcat-nc.org It contains detailed information about FCAT and the funeral industry. | | Does FCAT have an office? | FCAT does not have a walk-in office. It does have a Post Office Box. Funeral Consumers Alliance of the Triangle PO BOX 5051 CARY NC 27512-5051 | | How is FCAT staffed? | Volunteers handle mail, enroll members and transfers, issue membership packets, write and edit its newsletter and web pages, and otherwise keep the organization going. | | How much is FCAT membership? | FCAT relies on your donations to continue to be there for you in the future. We suggest $35 for new members and $20 for transfers from other FCA affiliates. This is for a household membership. Annual newsletters and other activities need a continuing flow of funds, so we will ask for, but not require, repeated donations. Remember, with the knowledge FCAT provides you can buy goods and services consistent with your values and save hundreds or thousands of dollars. |
